The Centre for Research in Equity and Advancement of Teaching and Education(CREATE) led by  Associate Professor Joanne Dargusch, is a research centre designed to deliver Australia’s only comprehensive approach to new innovations in education aimed at delivering equitable education, training and employment pathways for regional Australians. Equity and inclusion are at the heart of CREATE’s approach. By working with communities and industries, we aim to improve educational opportunities for all regional Australians, through  creative thinking to unlock new ways to access meaningful learning and teaching.

Together with community and industry, CREATE researchers are investigating Innovations in Education through five main research clusters:

  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Education Research (STEM-ER)
  • Applied Arts and Regional Communities (AARC)
